There were not any posters or fliers in the neighborhood by Lexington police to let us know Haley was missing, otherwise when I smelled that awful smell I would have figured it out. I did not know she was missing. She was laying back there for 10 days, if Lexington Police had done the slightest bit of investigation they would have known she hung out in the park and that was the first place they should look. I organized the memorial service for Haley and got the monument made. The city built a higher fence and we got new playground equipment, but that was all after the murder.
